Liberty Cove Master Plan

This 30,000 acre property is envisioned to be a new sustainable retirement resort town along the West coast of the Sea of Cortez with a proposed population of 60,000 people. Accessed by a 5 hour drive from the United States or by a proposed new stop on the “Nautical Latter”, (a Regional Tourism Plan by the Mexican government for the Sea of Cortez), this project includes a full service marina equipped to handle cruise boats, a Formula One Race course, a ”canal town”, other village centers, cutting edge medical facilities, new air fields, several large hotels, and 10,000 new home sites. It was intended that cars would be limited to the periphery of the project; only service vehicles and golf carts would be allowed to center of the project creating an intimate scale to the development while reducing energy and infrastructure requirements. Other sustainable measures included rain water harvesting, wind energy and desalination plants.
