Truckee Railyard

Truckee Railyard

The 30 acre Truckee Railyard project is a joint venture between the town of Truckee and Holliday Development. Historically a railroad and mill town, Truckee, California today serves as the primary gateway to the Lake Tahoe ski country. The Railyard project creates a walkable, compact, mixed-use development that preserves and enhances the historic mountain character of downtown Truckee. Located on an underutilized Union Pacific railyard and former mill site directly adjacent to downtown, the project seamlessly extends the existing historic commercial row with new retail, commercial, and warehouse space, creating a town square and neighborhood parks linked by pedestrian easements and multi-use trails, and providing housing along the restored Trout Creek corridor.
